WellSpan Cancer Institute integrates physician group

York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health has launched a partnership with Cancer Care Associates of York, the largest independent medical oncology practice in York County, Pa. 

The organizations will begin operating as one coordinated program at the WellSpan York Cancer Center on July 1, according to a Feb. 23 news release from WellSpan. The Cancer Care Associates of York’s facility in York will transition to a WellSpan practice as well.

WellSpan York Cancer Center is part of the WellSpan Cancer Institute, a regional network of six cancer centers, nine hospitals and more than 275 active clinical trials.

Cancer Care Associates of York has nine physicians and seven advanced practice providers. The practice will join WellSpan’s EHR, Epic, the release said.
