The 75,000- to 90,000-square-feet building will take five years to complete. It is expected to create 150 jobs and host 40,000 patient visits a year, according to the Oct. 20 WVU Medicine release.

The center plans to offer medical oncology, radiation oncology, mammography services, a melanoma center, pharmacy, multi-disciplinary tumor boards and academic research facilities.

It will replace the former Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, which closed several years ago.
