The name change was prompted by its new NCI comprehensive designation status, which was achieved in June, according to the release.

“We are so proud of this hard-earned recognition that it’s only fitting for us to incorporate it into the very name of our cancer center,” Robert Winn, MD, Massey director and Lipman Chair in Oncology. “This underlines our commitment to our community to deliver the very best care, backed by research personalized to meet our catchment area’s unique needs.”
