On Tuesday, April 8, Salt Lake City-based University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute broke ground on its new $400 million facility in Vineyard, Utah.
The Huntsman Cancer Institute’s Comprehensive Cancer Center in Vineyard, is expected to begin serving patients in fall 2028, according to an April 8 news release from the University of Utah Health.
Funding for the new facility began in 2023 with a $75 million donation from the Huntsman Family Foundation. As of the groundbreaking, 75% of the project’s necessary funding had been secured, the release said.
