Jupiter (Fla.) Medical Center is expanding its breast center, thanks to a $5 million gift.
The gift from Dorothy Thomson will support the hospital’s plans to add 13,000 square feet of imaging services space to The Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center, according to an Oct. 30 news release shared with Becker’s. The money will also be used to purchase three CT scanners and a second MRI machine, build additional mammography suites and ultrasound biopsy rooms, add space for additional ultrasound rooms and build an outpatient laboratory.
The expansion will increase imaging capacity, reduce wait times and improve personalized care. In honor of Ms. Thomson’s gift, the new lobby and healing garden will be named in her honor.
