Oklahoma City-based OU Health has broken ground on a new Stephenson Cancer Center facility on the University of Oklahoma’s Schusterman Center campus in Tulsa.

Expected to open in 2028, the new facility will house 70 exam rooms, 45 infusion spaces, three linear accelerators, advanced imaging capabilities and clinical trial space, according to a Nov. 13 news release from the health system.

The project was made possible through financial contributions from Charlie and Peggy Stephenson, the Cherokee Nation and the Norton, Trussell and Croteau families, as well as appropriations from the Oklahoma Legislature, the release said.
