Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute has invested $2.4 million in Advarra’s clinical trial management system to expand its clinical trial capabilities.

The Cancer Institute and the UAMS Translational Research Institute are using the system to manage and track 1,127 patients across 303 trials, according to a Jan. 7 news release from the university.

The management system integrates with Epic and is used by 80% of National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers, the release said.
