RWJBarnabas Health, Rutgers Cancer name breast surgery chief

New Brunswick, N.J.-base RWJBarnabas Health and the Rutgers Cancer Institute have appointed Kathie-Ann Joseph, MD, as chief of breast surgery.

Dr. Joseph will serve as co-director of the multidisciplinary breast program at the Rutgers Cancer Institute and the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, both located in New Brunswick, according to a Jan. 12 news release from the health system. She was also appointed as associate chief surgical officer for system integration and quality at RWJBarnabas Health, and director of breast surgical services for RWJBarnabas Health’s Southern Region.

She previously served as co-director of the Beatrice W. Welters Breast Health Outreach & Navigation program at New York City-based NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center.
