HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in Miami, part of Davie-based HCA Florida Healthcare, has appointed Omar Llaguna, MD, medical director of surgical oncology.
Dr. Llaguna joins HCA Florida from Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System, where he served as medical director of the Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Program, according to an Aug. 17 news release from HCA Florida Healthcare.
“His extensive experience in complex surgical oncology and commitment to advancing cancer care will strengthen our program and expand access to specialized treatment options for patients in our community,” HCA Florida Kendall Hospital CEO Ben Harris said in the release.
