Miami-based Baptist Health Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute has appointed Michael Walsh, MD, deputy director of Baptist Health Cancer Care.
Dr. Walsh will also serve as chief of the Herbert Wertheim Center for Cancer Prevention, according to an Oct. 12 news release from Baptist Health.
He previously served as medical director of global development and clinical sciences in hematology at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and spent nearly a decade at New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the release said.
