Baptist MD Anderson opens cell therapy unit

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health has opened an inpatient cell therapy and stem cell transplant unit at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The Baptist MD Anderson Cellular Therapy and Stem Cell Transplant Unit is located in the Weaver Tower at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, according to an Aug. 27 news release from the health system.

The unit has 24 inpatient rooms, a meditation room, family lounge and rehabilitation space.

Baptist MD Anderson began providing CAR-T therapy in 2025 and expects to begin offering stem cell transplants in summer 2027.
