Owensboro (Ky.) Health plans to relocate medical oncology, hematology and infusion services from Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in summer 2027.

The new cancer facilities will occupy an entire hospital floor and be staffed by the same Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center physicians and care teams, according to a Sept. 11 news release from Owensboro Health.

Radiation oncology, laboratory and diagnostic services will remain at Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center’s current location.

Owensboro Health plans to open a Patient Resource Center within the new facilities to offer care navigation, support groups, social work and nutrition services, the release said.

At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
