Siemens Healthineers will rebrand its in vitro diagnostics business under the name Olyrian Diagnostics as it prepares the unit to operate as a standalone company.

The new name will be introduced in phases, and the separation is expected to be completed by mid-2028, according to a Nov. 5 news release from the company.

Siemens Healthineers also plans to shorten its name to Healthineers, with both changes moving forward simultaneously, the release said.

The diagnostics business, which produces more than 16 billion tests a year, will remain part of Siemens Healthineers until the separation is complete. The company said customers will see no immediate changes to products, services, contracts or points of contact.

At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
