Coral Gables, Fla.-based Baptist Health South Florida has named Erin Gillaspie, MD, chief of thoracic surgery at its Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute and Baptist Health Cancer Care.
Dr. Gillaspie joins Baptist Health from Omaha, Neb.-based Creighton University Medical Center, where she served as chief of thoracic surgery, according to an Oct. 28 news release from Baptist Health.
She previously served as an assistant professor of thoracic surgery at Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she led its robotic thoracic surgery program.
