Newark, Del.-based ChristianaCare will expand oncology services at the Middletown (Del.) Health Center, which is under construction and expected to open in May 2027.
The new location, in which the health system is investing $92.3 million, will provide multidisciplinary cancer care, including infusion therapy, radiation treatment, surgical consultations, nurse navigation, supportive care and access to clinical trials, according to a Nov. 20 news release from ChristianaCare.
The services will be spearheaded by the health system’s Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute and are part of a broader $865 million investment plan for Delaware announced in July, the release said.
At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
