Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope has tapped Christine Lovly, MD, PhD, to develop and lead the system’s national thoracic oncology program.
Dr. Lovly will serve as division chief of thoracic medical oncology and as professor in the department of medical oncology and therapeutics research at City of Hope National Medical Center. She will also hold the Dr. Norman and Melinda Payson Professorship in Medical Oncology, according to an Nov. 6 news release from the health system.
She joins City of Hope from Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center and will begin serving in her new role Jan. 1.
