The town’s Planning & Zoning Commission voted down the proposal last year, but the hospital said its new design is more neighborhood friendly. Underground parking, more green space around the hospital and adjustments to traffic flow are among the updates made to the proposal.
However, critics of the plan cite the central location as a major issue. They worry about construction disturbance, increased traffic on an already busy road and overall disruption of the town.
Commissioner Dennis Yeskey said the Planning & Zoning was facing “a big balancing act” as it considers the new proposal, according to the Greenwich Times.
