The gift will support the center’s precision oncology efforts, which integrate fundamental biology, technology, immunology, data science and clinical experience into strategies to prevent, detect and treat cancer, according to a Sept. 8 news release from the cancer center.
The gift will be used to:
- Support a new precision oncology institute called Stuart and Molly Sloan Precision Oncology Institute.
- Recruit scientific leaders, create an endowed chair and provide funds for postdoctoral fellowships and other investments.
- Build a new 390,000-square-foot building for precision oncology research named after Stuart and Molly Sloan.
