Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Louisiana State University, both based in Baton Rouge, have appointed Kenneth Matthews, PhD, as director of the Dr. Charles M. Smith Medical and Health Physics Program.
Dr. Matthews previously served as interim program director and is the Dr. Charles M. Smith Distinguished Professor of Medical Physics in LSU’s department of physics and astronomy, according to a March 10 news release from the university.
The medical physics and health physics program offers graduate-level education and clinical training in radiation oncology physics, the release said.
