Omaha, Neb.-based Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center has launched two data visualization tools to provide insight into cancer incidence and demographic risk factors in Nebraska.

The Cancer InFocus Data Dashboard provides county- and state-level data on cancer incidence, screening rates, risk factors and demographics, while the County Cancer Data Infographics provide county-level cancer and community statistics, according to an April 28 news release from Omaha-based University of Nebraska Medical Center.

“These tools make it easier for community partners to move from data to action,” Shinobu Watanabe-Galloway, PhD, associate director of community outreach and engagement at Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, said in the release. “For researchers, they can support in generating hypotheses, understand catchment area burden and access data when developing proposals.”

At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
