Omaha-based Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center now offers same- or next-day appointments for newly diagnosed patients with breast cancer.
The program, called SONDA, gives patients the option to meet with a breast cancer surgeon before meeting the rest of the oncology care team, according to a March 9 news release from Nebraska Medicine.
Patients meet with a full multidisciplinary care team before finalizing their treatment plan, the release said.
