Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic has launched a theranostics research collaboration with GE Healthcare to study personalizing radioligand therapy for patients with advanced prostate cancer.
The collaboration is called MI-BET or the Molecular Imaging Biomarker-Based End of Therapy Trial, according to a July 8 news release from Mayo Clinic. It stems from Mayo Clinic and GE Healthcare’s Strategic Radiology Research Alliance, established in 2023.
The research will test whether imaging and blood-based biomarkers can guide more personalized dosing decisions, including pausing treatment based on patient response.
At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
