Memorial Sloan Kettering names chief scientific officer

New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has appointed Ross Levine, MD, as chief scientific officer. 

Dr. Levine previously served as senior vice president of translational research, according to an Oct. 16 news release from the cancer center. 

He was appointed as the first service chief of the molecular cancer medicine service in 2019 and the inaugural director of the Center for Hematologic Malignancies in 2016.
