The center more than triples the medical center’s cancer care capacity and will open to patients May 4, according to an April 27 news release from the medical center.
The facility was built with climate considerations in mind, designed to withstand hurricane-force winds up to 175 mph, and with a first-floor elevation more than 6 feet above the seawall, the release said.
