Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare has tapped Robert McWilliams, MD, as deputy director of the OSF Cancer Institute.
Dr. McWilliams’ appointment aligns with plans to expand the cancer institute’s facilities to include medical oncology, surgical oncology and research areas, as well as space for the institute’s theranostics program, according to a Feb. 19 news release from the health system.
Dr. McWilliams joins OSF HealthCare after spending 20 years at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, where he served in numerous leadership roles, the release said.
