A number of cancer care facilities were included with the more than 200 health systems recognized by the 2025 Press Ganey Human Experience Awards.
Healthcare organizations can earn recognition across six award categories: member experience, clinical quality, employee experience, physician experience, consumer experience and patient experience, according to a Jan. 7 news release from the organization.
Among those categories, the Pinnacle of Excellence distinction honors the three highest-performing organizations in each category and the Guardian of Excellence distinction honors organizations that consistently reached the top fifth percentile within their respective category over a one-year period.
The HX SSER Reduction Award honors organizations that reduced their system-level rate of serious safety events by 50% or more.
The following cancer centers earned a Guardian of Excellence distinction for patient experience:
- City of Hope – City of Hope National Medical Center (Duarte, Calif.)
- H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute – Moffitt McKinley Hospital (Tampa, Fla.)
- The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston)
- Memorial Sloan-Kettering (New York City)
The following outpatient and ambulatory surgery cancer center earned a Pinnacle of Excellence distinction for patient experience:
- Memorial Sloan-Kettering – Monmouth Center (Middletown, N.J.)
The following outpatient and ambulatory surgery cancer centers earned a Guardian of Excellence distinction for patient experience:
- City of Hope – Orange County (Irvine, Calif.)
- Memorial Sloan-Kettering – Josie Robertson Surgery Center (New York City) and Monmouth Center (Middletown, N.J.)
The following facilities earned a Pinnacle of Excellence distinction for patient experience in outpatient oncology:
- HCA Healthcare – Terre Haute (Ind.) Regional Hospital
- Jefferson Health – Jefferson Methodist Hospital (Philadelphia)
- Montefiore Health System – Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (Newburgh, N.Y.)
The following facilities earned a Guardian of Excellence distinction for patient experience in outpatient oncology:
- Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital – Northeastern Campus (Philadelphia)
- HCA Healthcare – TriStar Centennial Medical Center (Nashville, Tenn.)
- Tahoe Forest Hospital District (Truckee, Calif.)
The following cancer center earned a Guardian of Excellence distinction for outpatient services:
- H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute (Tampa, Fla.)
The following cancer center earned a Guardian of Excellence distinction for urgent care:
- Memorial Sloan-Kettering (New York City)
The following organizations’ cancer centers earned Guardian of Excellence distinctions for employee experience:
- Baptist Health – Jacksonville (Fla.)
- Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation – Baptist Cancer Center (St. Louis)
- CommonSpirit Health – Glendale (Calif.) Memorial Hospital, Dignity Health Dominican Hospital (Santa Cruz, Calif.), St. Rose Dominican Siena (Henderson, Nev.), CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs (Ark.), Northridge Hospital Medical Center (Los Angeles)
- Main Line Health – Lankenau Medical Center (Wynnewood, Pa.)
- Mary Greeley Medical Center (Ames, Iowa)
The following cancer center earned a Guardian of Excellence distinction for physician experience:

The following cancer centers earned a HX Serious Safety Event Rate Reduction Award:
