RWJBarnabas, Rutgers to open New Jersey’s 1st freestanding cancer hospital

West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health and New Brunswick, N.J.-based Rutgers Cancer Institute will open the new Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center on May 13, also in New Brunswick.

The Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center will be the first and only freestanding cancer hospital in New Jersey, according to a May 2 RWJBarnabas Health news release shared with Becker’s.

The 12-story facility marks the health system’s $1.5 billion investment in cancer care and research, the release said.
