Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine has appointed Will Parsons, MD, PhD, as chief of the division of hematology-oncology in the department of pediatrics.
Dr. Parsons has also been appointed director of Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center, according to a Jan. 7 news release from the Houston-based health system.
In his role, he will work closely with leaders from the Kinder Children’s Cancer Center — a $150 million joint venture between Houston-based University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Parsons has previously served as deputy director of the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center, director of the Center for Precision Oncology and director of the Pediatrician-Scientist Pediatric Residency program, the release said.
