Farmington, Conn.-based UConn Health’s Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center has joined the Connecticut Department of Public Health’s statewide cancer coalition: the Connecticut Cancer Partnership.

More than 150 organizations participate in the partnership, which is supported by funding from the CDC, according to a Dec. 22 news release from the university.

The Connecticut Cancer Partnership aims to reduce cancer incidence and mortality through cancer control initiatives, from prevention and early detection to treatment and survivorship care.

UConn Health will provide administrative support for the coalition and serve on the program’s advisory committee, the release said.
