UF Health names interim cancer institute leader

Gainesville, Fla.-based UF Health has named Thomas George, MD, interim director of the University of Florida Health Cancer Institute.

Dr. George was the institute’s associate director of clinical research for seven years before he began serving as deputy director in 2023, according to a Nov. 6 news release from the health system. 

He will step into the interim director position Nov. 17.
