Yale appoints deputy chief medical officer for radiation oncology

Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven (Conn.) has selected Lynn Wilson, MD, to serve as deputy chief medical officer for radiation oncology.

Dr. Wilson specializes in treating patients with cutaneous lymphoma and breast cancer. He is a professor of therapeutic radiology and dermatology at Yale School of Medicine, as well as executive vice chairman and director of clinical affairs for the department of therapeutic radiology. 

The American Society for Radiation Oncology named Dr. Wilson a fellow in 2011. He earned his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., before completing a residency at Yale New Haven (Conn.) Hospital. He then served as chief resident before joining the Yale School of Medicine faculty in 1994.
