The National Comprehensive Cancer Network has selected four U.S. cancer centers to receive research funding for quality improvement projects focused on metastatic prostate cancer.
The award recipients are Dallas-based UT Southwestern Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, Washington, D.C.-based Georgetown University, Chicago-based Northwestern University’s Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and Tampa, Fla.-based Moffitt Cancer Center, according to a Sept. 14 NCCN news release.
The research projects will target gaps in guideline-concordant metastatic prostate cancer care, including biomarker testing, pharmacy management and treatment access, the release said.
