Chico, Calif.-based Enloe Health has celebrated the completion of a new cancer center, which will open to patients in September.
The Enloe Health Gonzales Comprehensive Cancer Center is named in honor of Dan and Dawn Gonzales, who contributed 13 acres of land for the project, according to an Aug. 11 news release from the health system.
The cancer center will have 51 infusion spaces, 14 consult rooms, six cancer departments and three linear accelerators. Eighteen physicians and 14 advanced practice providers will serve patients alongside a specialty pharmacy and on-site laboratory, the release said.
At the Becker's Perioperative Summit, taking place September 14–15 in Chicago, perioperative leaders and healthcare executives will focus on improving operating room efficiency, enhancing patient safety, optimizing staffing and driving innovation across surgical services.
