WVU Medicine hospital adds cancer leader

Princeton (W.Va.) Community Hospital, part of Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine, has appointed Mohammed Abdulhaleem, MD, director of medical oncology. 

The hospital also expanded its oncology team with the addition of Ashley Fleenor, PA-C, who has specialized in oncology care since 2019, according to an Aug. 13 news release from WVU Medicine.

“The recruitment of Dr. Abdulhaleem represents another significant step forward in our commitment to providing world-class cancer care close to home,” Karen Bowling, PCH president and CEO, said in the release. 

Princeton Community Hospital began construction on a $35 million comprehensive cancer center in April.
