Duke Health appoints specialty chief

Durham, N.C.-based Duke University School of Medicine has appointed Michael Lidsky, MD, chief of the section of hepatopancreatobiliary surgery within the division of surgical oncology. 

Dr. Lidsky succeeds Dan Blazer, MD, who has served as section chief since 2020, according to a July 13 news release from the university.

Dr. Lidsky joined Duke in 2018 and is co-founder of the international Hepatic Artery Infusion Consortium Research Network, the release said. 

Dr. Blazer will continue to serve as interim chief of surgical oncology and vice chair of faculty affairs.
