The American Cancer Society has received $25 million to support free lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers in Chicago.
The Beverly and Richard Duchossois Hope Lodge Chicago is named in honor of donor Kim Duchossois and her family, according to a Sept. 24 news release from the American Cancer Society.
Additional funding for the facility has been raised in collaboration with University of Chicago Medicine and Chicago-based Rush University System for Health.
The future Hope Lodge Chicago will be located near University of Chicago Medicine’s AbbVie Foundation Cancer Pavilion, which is expected to open in April 2027.
